The mens’ haircuts in Adelaide

Spread the love

Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, is a cosmopolitan and vibrant town. It has some illustrious sights such as Adelaide Oval (which hosts cricket and Australian rules football matches), and the Adelaide Festival Centre opened in 1973. But it’s not just about sightseeing when you visit Adelaide – there are many fun things to do!

Adelaide is also called the “City of Churches” due to the many churches in the CBD, but there are plenty of other activities for visitors.

One aspect that sets Adelaide apart from many capital cities is its relaxed atmosphere. With most backpackers opting to stay closer to beachside towns such as Glenelg, this means there are plenty of cheap options for haircuts in Adelaide. At the same time, many stylists offer hair treatments at a price not much different from Melbourne or Sydney.

There was even a tiny trend towards retro hairstyles with curls and waves being famous in 2013, but this doesn’t seem to prevail in 2014, so there is a lot of choice for mens haircuts in Adelaide.

Here are some of the best places to get a haircut in Adelaide.

56 Melbourne Street, Adelaide SA 5000 ‎

Open Monday to Saturday 9 am – 5 pm.

This is one of the most popular barbershops in Adelaide and for a good reason. This is a no-frills, old-school barbershop that offers haircuts for $17 and shoeshines for $5. The staff is friendly and efficient so that you can get in and out quickly. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, so it’s worth phoning ahead to avoid waiting around all day!

The owner is well-known in Adelaide for his charity work.

8 Gouger St, Adelaide SA 5000 ‎

Open Monday to Saturday 9 am – 5 pm.

This is another good old-school barbershop that’s popular with the locals. The haircuts are pretty standard, but it does have a pleasant atmosphere. If you are looking for something less expensive than the fancy barbershops in Adelaide, then this is a great choice!
